1.7 I am a Jamaican Citizen living in another country, how do I register for a National Identification Card?

In Phase 1, registration for National Identification Cards will only be available at fixed enrolment centres in Jamaica.  Jamaicans living overseas who visit the island on vacation or on business can visit enrolment centres.

In Phase 2, upon completion of enrolling 70% of the Jamaican population the government will explore the possibility of adding enrolment stations in Jamaican embassies and consulates to facilitate the enrolment of Jamaicans living overseas.

The government is also exploring the possibility of introducing kiosks at our two international airports for the renewal of registered individuals expired cards.

1.8 Where can I pick up my National Identification card?

Pick up your national identification card in person from your chosen pick up location at a Jamaican embassy or consulate, or at an enrolment centre in Jamaica.
